Travelling along the “Chiantigiana highway”, the road through the hills which links the two great art cities of Florence and Sienna, 20 Km south of Florence you’ll come to Corte di Valle. This farm, which covers 25 hectares, is dedicated to the cultivation of the famous local products – Chianti Classico wine, I.G.T. wine and Super Tuscan wines, extra virgin olive oil and also saffron from the Florentine Hills, a valuable spice which was much used at the time when the Medici were the rulers of Florence.

The location, ambiance and facilities of Corte di Valle makes it ideal for small meetings as well as for relaxing vacations.

The villa and the houses which make up the small hamlet have been renovated to form 13 rooms, each with its own bathroom, where we offer B&B accommodation, and 2 independent apartments. The great attention to detail – four-poster beds and classic taste create a homely environment for those who want to explore the natural wonders of these hills, or simply to enjoy absolute relaxation in the romantic atmosphere by the pool. While here our guests can sample the authentic tastes of the Chianti Hills and our simple, home cooking which starts with the freshly baked cakes we serve at breakfast.

The restaurant is reserved for our guests and we serve lunch and dinner upon request. We also organise cookery lessons and tastings of traditional local specialities such as “Tagliatelle allo Zafferano”, “Chianti Braised Beef” and “Fettunta” – toasted bread soaked in extra-virgin olive oil.

Our cellars are open for guided tours which terminate with tastings of our wines in our sales point – Chianti Classico, Riserva made from 100% Sangiovese grapes and I.G.T. Vindia, a balanced union of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, matured in small oak barrels, and Vinsanto, all accompanied by local products which create harmonious tastes in the palate.

Corte di Valle, thanks to its position, is an ideal spot from which to explore Chianti as it is very easy to reach such interesting places as Sienna, Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Certaldo and Florence passing through a territory so varied that it will amaze you at every bend in the road.

Relaxation and pleasure are guaranteed by the peace of the place, the sun-soaked pool set among olive groves, the deep red sunsets which embrace you as you sit beneath the pines in the garden, warmed by a glass of good wine. Then there are the walks along the famous strade bianche (white roads) through woods, vineyards, past ancient farm-houses, horse-rides and musical evenings in a fairy-tale atmosphere.
