You may ask to taste a wine before buying and at the larger wineries vertical tastings of Tuscan wines can be arranged, especially if you are staying at a vacation rental on the same property.

"Azienda Agricola La Fonte" is a small winery located beneath the walls of Montefioralle. Tastings and purchase of La Fonte's wines are available at their sales point within 5 minutes walk of Montefioralle. La Fonte makes two IGT red wines, a Chianti Classico and a Vin Santo. "Podere San Cresci" abuts the 10 C pieve (parish church) of the same name, in the Chianti hills near Monteforalle and above Greve in Chianti. In addition to a Chianti Classico and Riserva, both containing a small percentage of Cabernet Franc, Sergio Ballini, the owner and winemaker, produces a truly excellent table wine from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. "Antico Borgo di Sugame" is located between Greve in Chianti and Dudda and produces a Chianti Classico from Sangiovese grapes plus a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. Azienda Agricola "Il Villino" is a winery run by the Bracco family and located 2 km from Castellina in Chianti. Podere "Barberino" is a working winery located about 1 km from Chiocchio. The winery offers 6 double rooms with en suite bathrooms, two with air conditioning. Communal cooking facilities are available and traditional Tuscan dinners can be arranged. Corte di Valle is a Tuscan villa located at Greti, near Greve in Chianti. We offer Bed & Breakfast rooms with private bathrooms, as well as two self-catering apartments. "Il Molino di Grace" has developed in less than ten years into one of the foremost quality wine producers in Italy and has gained world-wide attention for its Chianti Classico and IGT Toscana Il Margone, a 100% sangiovese "super-Tuscan". The consulting oenologist is Franco Bernabei of Greve in Chianti. The property is located at Volano near Panzano in Chianti and groups may visit the winery by appointment. Azienda Agricola "Savignola Paolina", near Lamole, Panzano and Greve in Chianti, produces high quality wines and organises tastings, including vertical tastings, of their own wines for up to 8 to 10 persons in their antique olive oil pressing cellar. Agriturismo "Casa Nova La Ripintura", located on the outskirts of Greve in Chianti, produces Chianti Classico red wine as well as white table wine and olive oil. Agriturismo "Patrizia Falciani", near Greve in Chianti, produces wine and olive oil that is bottled under the label of neighbouring Terre di Melazzano. "Le Terre di Melazzano", near Greve in Chianti, produces Chianti IGT, Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, a rosé IGT as well as grappa and olive oil. Casa Allinuzza is not a winery itself but is located high up in the tiny wine village of Castellinuzza, on the road to Lamole, where to wineries offer their wines for sale. Casa Allinuzza is a newly restored Tuscan farmhouse with spectacular views out over the Greve valley and the Chianti hills. It offers two double rooms plus the possibility of two infant cots, a fully equipped kitchen, a living-dining room, modern bathroom and a private terrace with panoramic views.
